Stormtrooper

A single curved shell from a multi-part build, rendered here in glossy terracotta. The preview shows one component: a rounded, squared-off dome with a softly scalloped dip across the top edge and a short cylindrical peg standing proud of the front face. Down one side sits a stack of thin, fanned ridges — the sort of keyed edge that locks against a neighbouring piece. On its own it reads as a section of smooth armour plating; gather all eight STL files (W1 to W8) and they build up into the full figure this set is named for. Because the surfaces are broad and high-gloss, this part rewards patient printing — any layer lines will telegraph straight across that open dome. Print notes • Orient the domed face upward or gently angled so the smooth front prints without support scarring; the peg may want a light support. • 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers keep the curve clean; sand and prime for a screen-accurate matte or gloss finish. • Run all eight parts in the same filament so shrinkage matches before you assemble. • Align the fanned keyed edges when gluing, then bury the seams with a little filler. A satisfying build for the display shelf or a costume prop, and a fine canvas for paint once every part has clicked together.
