Tabouret

A simple four-legged stool with clean, honest lines. True to its French name, this is a tabouret a compact stool or occasional side table with a thick square seat and four tapered legs that splay gently outward for stability. There is no ornament or upholstery; the appeal is the pared-back, almost Scandinavian silhouette that reads well at any scale. Shrunk down, it makes ideal 1:12 or 1:24 dollhouse and diorama furniture, or a tabletop-scenery seat for an RPG tavern or workshop scene. Printed larger it works as a model-maker's reference piece or a chunky desk trinket. It is a versatile little form to drop into any interior build. Print notes: • Print upside down (seat on the bed, legs pointing up) for a flawless top surface and support-free legs. • At miniature scale, resin holds the crisp leg edges best; in FDM, thicken the legs slightly in your slicer if they come out fragile. • The wide seat overhang is the only tricky part right-side up flipping it avoids supports entirely. • Sand the seat lightly and prime if you plan to add a wood-grain or painted finish.
