Description
A faceted little rooftop, ready to crown a tower or gazebo on your model. Rendered in solid blue, this is a low, many-sided pavilion roof: a shallow polygonal cone of flat sloping panels separated by raised hip ribs that run from a small flat apex down to the eaves, giving it the profile of a bell-tower or bandstand cap ("toit campanile bas", low campanile roof). It is a hollow shell, sized to drop over the top of a matching tower. Aimed squarely at architectural modellers, it caps campaniles, garden gazebos, well-houses, wargame turrets and dollhouse cupolas. Paired with wall and railing modules it completes a small structure. Print notes: • Print apex-up: as a cone it needs little or no support and the ribbed panels come out crisp. • Because it is a thin shell, 2-3 perimeters is plenty; add a brim if the narrow eave lifts off the bed. • Check the internal diameter against your tower wall and scale to fit before committing. • Finish it as slate, copper (with a green wash) or terracotta tile; scribing tile lines into the panels adds realism.
