Toit Campanile Haut

The crowning spire for a printed bell tower. True to its French name ("tall bell-tower roof"), this is a slender, steeply tapering steeple cap. The form is an elongated octagonal cone whose faces are broken by raised vertical ribs running from the flared base up to the fine point at the top, giving it the fluted, needle-like silhouette of a Gothic or fairytale turret. The base sits open and slightly splayed so it can seat neatly over the top of a tower or drum below it. It's a scenery and model component, meant to finish off a campanile, church, castle keep, clock tower or fantasy spire in a diorama or tabletop build. On its own it also reads as a decorative obelisk or finial. Sitting proud above a townscape, it instantly gives a skyline that vertical, ecclesiastical accent. Print notes: • Print it point-up, standing on the flared base; this keeps the ribs sharp and avoids supports on the visible faces. • The sharp tip benefits from a slow final few layers or a small cooling boost so it doesn't blob. • Thin walls print fine, but add a couple of perimeters if you want it robust enough to handle. • Match the base diameter to your tower before scaling, then paint in slate, copper-verdigris or stone to suit the building beneath. Glue or pin it onto the tower body once both parts are cleaned up.
