Description

A clean conical roof, ready to cap a tower. True to its French name — *toiture droite*, a straight roof — this is a simple, smooth cone with a flared eaves lip at the bottom and a small chimney-like nub at the peak. There is no shingle texture or ornament; it is a crisp geometric roof form meant to sit atop a round tower, turret or hut. It drops into model-village, wargaming-terrain and model-railway projects, or works as a stand-alone lid, finial or planter cap for anyone who just wants a tidy cone. Because the surface is plain, the print itself carries the quality here — smooth walls matter far more than fine detail. Print notes • Print it point-up, hollow, straight off the bed — the cone is self-supporting, so no supports are needed and the flared rim lays down first. • Use vase mode or 2–3 perimeters for a fast, light roof; 0.2 mm layers are fine, or 0.12 mm for an almost seamless slope. • The apex nub prints cleanest with a slightly slower top-layer speed to avoid a blob. • Prime and paint terracotta, slate grey or verdigris to match the building it crowns; a quick sand erases layer lines before paint.
