Description

A clean conical roof, ready to cap a tower. Stripped of paint and colour, this is a single smooth cone that flares from a small cylindrical collar at the peak out to a wide circular eave — the classic silhouette of a round turret roof. The French name gives the game away: toiture gauche, the left-hand roof, one half of a matched pair meant to sit over the towers of a model building, a castle gatehouse or a fairy-tale cottage. There is no shingle texture here, just a crisp geometric surface that takes paint, weathering washes or a metallic drybrush beautifully. Drop it onto a scratch-built keep, a model-railway station tower or a tabletop wizard's spire and it does the quiet structural work of making a stack of walls suddenly read as a building. Print notes • It is a textbook spiralise / vase-mode print — hollow, single perimeter, no supports, point upward. • Printed solid and point-up it also needs no supports; only the underside of the eave wants a quick check. • Scale it in your slicer to match your tower's wall diameter before committing. • Matte grey or terracotta filament reads as slate or clay tile straight off the plate.
