Description
Victorian iron-lace, reimagined for the print bed. This set is a run of ornamental roof cresting paired with a matching ridge finial, the kind of filigree that once crowned railway canopies, bandstands and grand terraced villas. Along the ridge rail sits a repeating row of upright fleur-de-lis-style tips linked by looping scrollwork, while the underside carries a fringe of hanging drip-pendants. Rising at the corner is a turned finial with a bulbous urn body tapering to a sharp gothic spike, the anchor that finishes a roofline in style. The multi-part files (ridge, cresting runs and finial) let you tile the cresting to any length and cap the ends cleanly. It is ideal for dollhouses, model-railway station roofs, gothic terrain boards, garden-railway buildings or a display miniature of period architecture. Print notes • Print the cresting flat on its back so the delicate loops and tips lie in-plane; this dramatically cuts support on the fine bridging. • Give the finial a raft or brim and light supports under the widest urn shoulder; print it upright for a clean spike. • A 0.3 mm nozzle and slow outer walls hold the thin filigree; resin will capture the tips even more crisply. • Paint in matt black or verdigris green to read as weathered cast iron.
