Decorative roof cresting to crown the ridge line of a model building. Rendered in blue, the set shows a ridge-cap rail carrying two upright ornamental finials — stylised branching forms with slender arms tipped by rounded knobs, reading somewhere between a heraldic tree and a crested cross, with small leaf-scrolls curling at their feet. The three files match the French part names: Faitage (the ridge cap), Pointe (the pointed finial ornament) and Toit (the roof section), so you can lay a run of cresting along a rooftop and cap it at the ends. It suits dollhouse and miniature architecture, Victorian and gothic building details, model-railway station and townhouse roofs, and tabletop terrain rooftops that need a period silhouette. Restorers can also use it as a reference profile. Print notes • Multi-part: print the finials standing upright so the ball tips resolve cleanly; the ridge rail lies flat. • Light supports at the ball-and-arm junctions; resin gives the crispest spheres. • Repeat the finial along the ridge to whatever length your roof needs, then glue to the roofline. • Keep orientation consistent between parts so seams line up, and scale the whole set to your building before slicing. • Prime and paint in wrought-iron black or verdigris for a convincing metal-cresting look.
