The relic Optimus Prime carries in his chest, reworked into something that actually gives off light. The Matrix has always been drawn as an object that glows from within — a rounded core held between two curved arms, meant to be raised in front of the bearer — so turning it into a lamp is less a stretch than an obvious idea somebody finally acted on. This version comes as a multi-part kit that builds up into a standing display piece, with the sculpting concentrated in the framing around the core where the eye goes first. Close range is where it earns its keep, so a desk or a bookshelf suits it better than a high corner of the room.
