Description

A single sweeping wing, caught mid-beat. This piece is a lone membranous wing, the kind you fit to a winged hero or demon rather than display on its own. The render shows a long, curved arm bone sweeping up and over into a broad canopy of skin stretched between finger-like struts, each tipped with a small hooked claw along the scalloped trailing edge. The membrane dips into shallow web-pockets between the struts, giving it that leathery bat-and-dragon feel, while the surface stays smooth and glossy for easy priming. It reads as a left wing, so most builders will mirror the file to produce a matching right. It is aimed at kitbashers and character sculptors: bolt it to a torso for a gargoyle, a fallen avenger, a fantasy demon or a homebrew flyer, or mount a pair back-to-back as a wall trophy. Print notes • Print on its side with supports under the overhanging canopy and the clawed tips; the thin membrane is the weak point, so a raft or brim helps it stay put. • Resin gives the crispest edge on the fine struts and claws; FDM works at larger scale with a 0.2 mm nozzle and slower outer walls. • Keep the arm bone aligned along the build plate to keep the long limb strong, then glue to your figure at the shoulder joint. • Print two, one mirrored, for a full pair and pin with brass rod at the join for strength.
