Part cathedral, part crown — a lampshade built from sweeping stone-like arches. The Void Lamp is an architectural light housing whose silhouette borrows from gothic vaulting: tall pointed arches spring from splayed buttress feet and meet in a ring of peaks, leaving open windows that throw dramatic shafts of light across a wall or ceiling. It ships as a kit of interlocking parts — paired arc sections, a base, a hinged column with a locking collar, and a separate arabesque glass diffuser panel printed three-up — so the shade assembles around a bulb or LED core rather than being one fragile print. It suits a bedside table, a hallway console, or a reading nook where you want warm, moody ambient light instead of a flat glare. Run a low-wattage warm LED or a battery puck light inside and the arches cast long, tapering shadows. Print notes • Print in PLA or PETG; PETG copes better with warmth, so use it if your light source runs above a cool LED — never fit a hot incandescent bulb. • The arc parts are designed with self-supporting curves to need minimal or no supports; seat them flat on the bed. • Use 3–4 walls and 15–20% infill for a solid feel; print the arabesque glass panel in a translucent or natural filament so light glows through it. • Assemble via the column hinge and lock so you can open the shade to swap the bulb, and lightly sand the seams to hide the joins.
