Description

Voronoi patterns come out of a geometric partition, points scattered across a surface with each cell claiming the space nearest to it, and the result never looks quite random or quite regular. That irregular web of struts and openings is what the shade on this table lamp is built from. The pattern earns its keep after dark, when an uneven lattice casts an uneven shadow and the wall behind picks up a scattered cellular pattern instead of a flat wash. In daylight the same structure reads as organic, closer to coral or bone than to anything machined, so it stays worth looking at while it is switched off. Think desk lamp or side-table lamp: a light to read beside, or something for a corner that needs an alternative to the overhead. The parametric look suits a modern room and is odd enough to be interesting in one that is not.
