Pin lamps are the small single-bulb fittings that sit on a bedside table or a shelf edge and light one spot properly, rather than washing a whole room. This is a printed lamp body in that tradition: a compact enclosure built to sit around a bulb and turn a bare point of light into something you can read beside without squinting. A printed shade diffuses rather than blocks, so the piece works as much by the shape it casts as by the light it lets through. Unpainted filament suits it perfectly well; the form carries the design on its own.
