Field leader, permanent worrier, and the one member of the team who cannot look at anything without a visor in the way. This is Scott Summers as the Saturday-morning animated series drew him: broad-shouldered, squared-off, a costume built from bold flat panels rather than the fussier line work the comics moved to later. The visor is the whole character in one detail — the reason the pose reads instantly even from across a room, and the reason he always looks slightly braced for something.
