X Wing Mainbody 1 Lamp

A starfighter fuselage reworked as the body of a lamp: the wedge-nosed main hull of a four-winged space fighter, scaled up until it stops being a model of a ship and starts being a piece of furniture. By day it reads as sculpture on a desk or shelf edge; after dark it becomes the thing everyone looks at instead of the ceiling light. It comes as a multi-part kit, which is what lets a form this long and this angular be built at a size worth having on a domestic printer. The audience is obvious enough: people who would rather own the hero ship as an object than as a poster, and who want a games room, home office or child's bedroom to declare its allegiance without a single framed print on the wall.
