Kneeling Winged Cherub Statue

A curly-haired cherub kneeling in quiet devotion, a dove cupped in its hands. This is a detailed baroque-style putto. The child-angel kneels on one knee atop a rocky, flower-trimmed plinth, a leafy wreath crowning tousled curls. One arm lifts a slim object — a stylus or quill — while the other cradles a small dove against the chest. A single large feathered wing sweeps back from the shoulders, its plumage layered in overlapping rows, and the loose robe falls in soft folds around the body. Blossoms and foliage wrap the front edge of the base, and the plinth tapers to a small tenon-like foot beneath. It suits sentimental and devotional settings: a memorial or graveside marker, a garden or grotto niche, a mantel or altar shelf, or a christening and nursery keepsake. The classical modelling makes it feel like carved stone even in print. Print notes • Resin (SLA/DLP) is strongly preferred here — the face, feathers, wreath and flowers carry fine detail that FDM will soften. • Print upright and expect supports under the outstretched arm, the wing overhang and the front flowers; add plenty of light contact supports on the face-away side. • If resin printing hollow, include drain and vent holes in the base to avoid suction cups and trapped resin. • Prime and paint in a stone, marble or antique-bronze finish, or leave in a warm neutral for a cast-plaster look.
