Description

A woman surfacing from stone, arms flung wide as if breaking free of the block. This sculpture depicts a slender female figure rising out of a tall, gently tapering slab. Her upper body is fully modelled in the round, head tilted with long hair falling past her shoulders and arms outstretched in an open, cruciform gesture, while below the ribs the form melts back into the raw pillar in soft, flame-like striations that pool toward the base. The whole piece stands on a stepped plinth, giving it a monument-like presence. It is an evocative, gallery-style art object rather than a game or utility print. It suits a mantel, console table, bookshelf or entryway as a statement sculpture, and works beautifully in a stone-look, bronze or plaster finish. Displayed against a plain wall the deep relief throws dramatic shadows. Print notes • Resin is strongly recommended here; the fine facial features, hair strands and flowing torso detail need the resolution. • Print upright on the plinth. The outstretched arms are the weak point, so add supports beneath them or brace and glue them if printed separately. • Orient to keep layer lines running vertically along the slab for the cleanest shadow play. • Finish with a stone or metal-effect primer and a soft wash to sink pigment into the recesses; a light drybrush lifts the raised edges.
