Description

Four turned profiles from one family — pick your twist, or print the whole set. A quartet of classical turned legs (or balusters) presented side by side, each sharing the same collared cap-and-foot but carrying a different body. From left: a tight barber-pole spiral, then a looser open-flute twist, then two smooth tapered urn profiles with subtly swelling waists. Ringed astragal beads top and bottom tie the set together so they read as a matched collection. These suit table and stool legs, cabinet feet, bed posts, stair balusters, or lamp stems — anywhere a lathe-turned upright belongs. Printed small, they double as chess-piece blanks, candle-stand columns, or dolls-house furniture parts. Cutting / printing notes • On a CNC lathe or 4th axis these carve beautifully in beech, oak, or maple; the spiral versions need a rotary axis to cut the helix cleanly. • For 3D printing, stand each leg vertical and it prints support-free; the spiral flutes want a fine layer height to keep the ridges crisp. • Supplied as four separate profiles — mix and match, or scale to your project's stock diameter. • Sand the turned rings lightly and the twist channels will catch a stain or wax beautifully.
