Horned Demon Hero Bust

A brooding red-comic hero, horns filed to stubs, glaring out from under a heavy brow. The model is a display bust of a broad-shouldered demon-hero: two sanded horn stumps sit high on the forehead, a deep frown creases the brow, and a squared goatee with thick sideburns frames the jaw. The chest is bare and heavily muscled beneath an open, wide-lapelled coat, and the whole figure rests on a simple stepped cylindrical plinth. Fans of dark supernatural comics and their film adaptations will recognise the look instantly. It is built as a collector's bust — the kind that sits on a desk, shelf or games cabinet — with plenty of surface for painters to work skin tones, stubble and the leather sheen of the coat. Print notes: • Resin (SLA/DLP) is the natural choice for the facial detail; print at 25–50 micron layers. • Angle the bust back slightly and support the chin, brow ridge and horn stubs, which are the main overhangs. • Hollow the torso and add a drain hole to save resin and reduce suction on the plate. • On FDM, print at 0.1 mm, then prime and lightly sand the face before painting. • The flat plinth base needs no raft; a brim is enough for adhesion. Paint him in classic crimson with a weathered coat, or keep him monochrome as a sculpted study — either way he makes a strong centrepiece for a fan display.
