Masked Desert Raider Warrior Bust

A brooding wasteland warrior, sculpted from the collar up with real menace. This bust depicts a masked desert nomad whose entire head is bound in weathered strip-cloth wrappings, punctuated by protruding spikes at the crown. Twin cylindrical eye lenses jut from the face like breathing ports, a segmented tubular mouthpiece runs down to a canister at the throat, and a small vertical grille sits where the nose would be. The shoulders are swathed in heavy, layered fabric that falls in deep folds, and the figure rests on a rough rectangular plinth marked with fine incised glyphs. The high-detail sculpt is shown in a pale clay render that reads every wrinkle and cloth fibre. It is aimed at sci-fi collectors and painters who want a statement display bust for a desk or cabinet shelf, or a centrepiece to practise weathering and drybrush techniques on. Print notes • This is a resin/SLA piece at heart: the woven cloth texture, the tube ribbing and the eye lenses demand a fine layer height to survive. • Print at a slight backward tilt and support the spikes, the eye ports and the throat canister; hollow the bust and add drain holes to save resin on a larger print. • Great at 80 to 120 mm as a display bust; the flat plinth base seats it without a brim. • Prime grey, then glaze the wrappings in dusty sand and ochre with darker recesses, and pick out the lenses in glossy black or amber for contrast.
