Windswept Bearded Character Display Bust

A rugged, wind-swept character bust with attitude to spare. This is a display bust of a mature man caught mid-scowl: a tall, dramatically swept-back quiff of hair, a heavy brow furrowed over squinting eyes, and a thick, sculpted moustache and beard that curl and taper into fibrous strands. He's got gauged ear plugs and an open, popped collar that frames a bare chest and shoulders, all rising from a chipped, cracked-stone display base. The sculpt leans into stylised, exaggerated forms, deep hair grooves, exaggerated cheekbones, a lived-in face, so it paints up with loads of contrast and reads well even at desk size. It's aimed at collectors and painters: a shelf centrepiece, a practice bust for blending and beard techniques, a gift for the bearded gentleman in your life, or a striking NPC/hero bust for a display cabinet. Print notes • Resin is the natural choice here, the hair spikes and beard strands reward high resolution (0.03–0.05 mm layers). • Print at a slight tilt with the face angled up and away from supports; keep contacts on the back of the hair and the underside of the base. • The pointed quiff and collar tips are the fragile bits, add a few extra light supports there and remove them gently. • Prime grey or black, then a zenithal white and thin glazes really bring out the carved hair and skin texture. Scales cleanly from a 32 mm tabletop bust up to a bold 100 mm+ collector piece.
