St George Coat-of-Arms Plaque

A full heraldic coat of arms rendered in deep, ceremonial relief. At the centre a shield carries the mounted figure of St George, lance lowered, his horse rearing as he drives the point into a writhing dragon underfoot. Above the shield sits a domed imperial crown topped by a cross, and behind it spread the feathered wings of a double-headed eagle, its two crowned heads turning outward. Two long swords cross diagonally behind the shield, hilts up, blades emerging past the lower point. Rounded studs run around the shield border, and every element is carved in layered, high-relief detail. This is a showpiece plaque rather than a subtle trim, ideal for a study, a den, a games room or a collector's wall, and a natural fit for anyone drawn to imperial, military or St-George iconography. Mounted and finished, it makes a substantial statement piece. Print notes: • The design is genuinely multi-level; leave real depth in your Z so the eagle wings, crown and rider read as separate planes. • Rough with a large end mill, then finish with a 3mm and a 1mm tapered ball-nose to resolve the horse, dragon and feather detail. • Dense hardwood (walnut, oak, maple) carves the fine faces best; MDF works well for a painted finish. • If 3D printing, resin at a fine layer height captures the rider and dragon far better than FDM; add supports beneath the crown and outstretched wings.
