Description

A crowned double-headed eagle presides over a wreathed open book — a coat of arms packed with heraldic detail. At the crest sits the twin-headed eagle, wings swept, one talon gripping a downward sword and the other a laurel ring, a small crown above. Below it an open, wave-edged book or scroll spreads across a full circular wreath — laurel on one side, oak on the other — and at the book's centre crossed axes rise over an anchor within a burst of rays, topped by a small medal ribbon bar. The whole reads as a service or academy insignia in the Russian military tradition, dense with symbols of learning, sea and arms. It makes a bold wall plaque for a study, den or collector's cabinet, or a striking presentation piece. Print / CNC notes • Deep, multi-level relief — machine a roughing pass first, then a fine ball-nose finish (2mm or smaller) to resolve the eagle feathers and leaf veins. • Best in a dense hardwood or machinable modelling board; the slim ribbon bar and eagle heads are delicate, so take a light climb pass. • Flat-backed for wall hanging — rout a keyhole slot on the reverse. • A dark stain wiped back, or a bronze/gilt rub over a sealed surface, brings out the layered depth handsomely.
