Civic Heraldic Coat-of-Arms Crest

A civic-style coat of arms in deep, hand-carved relief. The image is a heraldic crest, not the inlay tray the tags suggest. A classic pointed shield sits at the centre, topped by a mural crown of crenellated stonework — the emblem of a town or fortified city. Across the shield face, a slim sword and a fletched arrow cross in saltire beneath a trio of six-pointed stars, and the whole escutcheon is cradled in a full wreath of naturalistic oak leaves that fans out to the edges. The carving is genuinely three-dimensional: raised bosses, rounded leaf lobes and crisp undercuts give it real depth and shadow. It is made for wall display — a study, hallway, club room, re-enactment hall or anywhere a bit of heraldic gravitas is wanted. Carved in oak or walnut it looks centuries old; printed and painted it makes a striking faux-bronze or antique-stone shield. Print notes • This is a deep-relief piece: rough it out with a larger bit, then finish with a fine ball-nose (2mm or smaller) to resolve the leaf veins, star points and the mural crown's brickwork. • Run it on a straight-grained hardwood and orient the grain vertically so the oak leaves don't chip on the cross-grain lobes. • For 3D printing, lay it flat on the back face — no supports needed — and use a fine layer height across the raised detail. • Finish with a dark glaze wiped back off the high points to make the relief read from across the room.
