Five-Lobed Leaf Dish Carving

A broad, five-lobed leaf carved in deep relief, each lobe scooped into a shallow hollow. This is a decorative leaf carving — a wide, wavy-edged leaf, fig- or grape-like, with a serrated, softly frilled margin. A raised central vein and radiating side veins split the blade into concave scooped sections, so it reads as much like a leaf-shaped dish as a wall plaque. At the base the stem carries two tiny budding shoots, a neat piece of botanical detail, and the scooped lobes give real depth and shadow. It works as a bas-relief wall accent, a leaf-shaped catch-all or trinket dish for keys, coins or jewellery, a soap dish, or a natural-theme decoration for a hallway or living room.
