Description

A militaristic heraldic badge, heavy with symbolism — a downward blade guarded by twin serpents. The relief is a rounded, riveted shield standing upright. Down its centre plunges a long dagger, hilt up, its screw-textured grip and winged cross-guard sitting near the top. Two serpents rise and coil around the blade in mirror image, heads meeting near the guard — echoing an Asclepius or caduceus motif — while a ribbon banner scrolls across the lower shield bearing the Cyrillic lettering "УБОП." That marks it as a security-service / anti-organised-crime insignia rather than an invented crest, so treat it as an emblem plaque. It suits a collector of military and law-enforcement insignia, a themed wall, or a display of carved badges. Mount it framed or bare against a dark backer to make the relief read. Print notes: • Cut or print face-up; the flat back is ready for wall hanging. • The entwined snakes and dagger guard are the detail-critical zones — finish with a small ball-nose on the router, or fine resin layers, to keep the scales and lettering legible. • Dense hardwood or a primed resin print holds the crisp banner text best; a dark wash pushed into the recesses lifts the serpents. • For FDM, print flat with fine layers and light supports only beneath the overhanging cross-guard and banner ends.
