Description

A ready-to-personalise heraldic shield, waiting for your crest. This is a blank escutcheon: a classic heraldic shield shape with squared, slightly hollowed top corners and a graceful pointed base. It's modelled as a raised relief with a bold bevelled outer frame that steps down into a broad, gently domed inner field. That field is deliberately smooth and empty — a clean canvas ready to receive a family coat of arms, a monogram, house numbers, a club badge or an engraved name. It's a versatile decorative blank for a hall plaque, a pub or shop sign, a man-cave or games-room emblem, a trophy face, or the crest panel on a bar-top or gate. The strong border gives it presence on a wall even before any lettering goes in. Making notes: • On the CNC, carve the framed field as-is for a blank, or pocket a design/lettering into the smooth centre with a V-bit for crisp heraldry and a ballnose to keep the domed field flowing. • Hardwood (oak, walnut) gives a premium finish; MDF is fine if you'll paint, and a two-tone paint-then-sand across the raised border reads beautifully. • Mind the pointed base — cut it a touch inside the stock edge so the tip stays supported during machining. • 3D-printable too: run it as a wall relief, then add raised text on top before slicing for a fully bespoke plaque.
