Armoured Corps Commemorative Medallion

A pocket-sized commemorative medallion for the armoured corps. Inside a smooth round frame, a full military scene is cut in low relief. A gunship helicopter with a stubby nose and long rotor banks over a range of jagged, snow-line mountains, while below it an eight-wheeled armoured personnel carrier rolls across the foreground, its hull, hatches and wheel stations rendered in surprising detail for the scale. A cast loop at the top turns the disc into a wearable pendant or a keyring fob. It is aimed at serving and former forces, military-vehicle enthusiasts and modellers, and makes a thoughtful commemorative gift or unit keepsake. Making notes: • The relief is fine and shallow, so resin printing gives by far the crispest rotor blades and tread detail; print it flat, face-up, with the bail supported. • For CNC, use a small-diameter ball-nose bit and a slow finishing pass in a dense hardwood or machinable wax pattern. • Keep the piece small for a pendant, or scale up for a desk medallion or coaster-style plaque. • After printing, a brush of graphite or a metallic rub-and-buff over a primed surface reads convincingly as aged bronze.
