Description

A Viking-hall emblem ringed in blooming, stone-carved petals. This circular medallion pairs an ornate outer wreath — a band of rounded, symmetric flower-and-leaf motifs spaced evenly around the rim — with a bold angular bind-rune at its heart. The central figure is built from clean straight staves: a vertical spine, a broad X crossing, an upward Algiz-style fork at the top and a downward arrow below, all standing proud of an open cut-through background so wall colour and light show behind it. The effect is part protective talisman, part decorative rosette. It suits a Norse- or fantasy-themed room as a wall plaque, door roundel or shield-boss accent, and the open lattice reads beautifully when backlit. Cut / print notes • As a CNC piece, carve in hardwood and clear the interior voids fully so the rune floats inside the ring; a down-cut bit keeps the top edges clean. • Rough the raised wreath with a ballnose, then sharpen the straight rune staves and the petal separations with a v-bit. • As a 3D print it lies flat on the bed with no supports — ideal for two-colour work: print the rune and ring in a metallic and swap filament for a dark backing plate. • Around 150–200 mm across gives the interior lines enough width to stay strong. A striking accent for anyone drawn to Norse mythology, runework or clean geometric heraldry.
