Description

A hockey player caught low over the puck, stick poised to strike. This sand-coloured sculpt is a full-round figure of a vintage ice-hockey forward, knees bent and body folded forward in a ready crouch, both gloved hands gripping a stick that reaches down to the ice. He wears the old-school kit — a heavy jersey with a number 9 on the sleeve, padded breeches, thick socks and skates — and his hair is swept back off a determined, clean-shaven face. The whole figure stands on a wedge-shaped plinth cut to sit flat. It's a trophy-style piece: a mantel or cabinet statue for a player, a coach's retirement gift, a club presentation, or a collector of sporting memorabilia. Milled from a hardwood billet or resin-printed and bronzed, it reads as a proper commemorative figurine. Cut & print notes • As a full 3D sculpt this suits either a 4-axis CNC in a wood or modelling-board blank, or a resin printer for fine facial detail. • On a 3-axis router, split the model or machine front and back halves and glue at the seam. • For FDM/resin, orient it leaning back with the base down and support the stick, the trailing leg and the under-chin area. • Finish milled wood with sanding sealer; bronze-tint a printed copy with metallic paint and a brown wash for a trophy look.
