Description

A barefoot fairy caught mid-twirl, hair and skirt streaming into a pair of great patterned wings. This bas-relief shows a slender young sprite dancing on tiptoe, one leg kicked back, her flower-crowned head tilted and a soft smile on her face. Long locks whip out behind her, her petal-hem dress flutters, and the whole figure is framed by enormous butterfly wings scored with swirling teardrop and cell markings that fill the right of the panel. The carving depth is generous — the wings sit proud and shadowed, while the face and folds of the dress are modelled with gentle, feminine relief. It's made to sit against a flat ground as wall decor or an inset panel: a nursery or bedroom hanging, a jewellery-box or cabinet-door insert, or a romantic feature for a headboard or garden plaque. Print / cut notes: • On CNC, rough with a ball-nose then finish the wing veining with a fine tapered ball-nose so the teardrop cells stay crisp; a smooth, even-grain hardwood carries the delicate face best. • For 3D printing, lay it flat face-up — no supports — at 0.08– 0.12 mm to hold the hair strands and wing detail. • Watch the trailing hair and the pointed toe: they're the thinnest edges, so keep walls solid there. • A pearl or antique-gold rub-through over a dark base makes the raised wings and figure glow beautifully.
