Description

A serene stone-idol face framed by spiralling tribal glyphs — part totem, part talisman. This relief plaque centres on a long, calm human face with heavy-lidded eyes, a straight narrow nose and softly parted lips, wearing a rounded helmet or headband that carries a circular medallion stamped with an angular, almost hieroglyphic emblem. Around the face runs a rectangular border packed with interlocking spiral and key-fret meanders in a Mesoamerican / tribal idiom, giving the whole piece the look of an ancient carved marker or shrine panel. It is built for CNC routing as a decorative wall plaque — the kind of statement piece that suits a study, games room, garden feature wall or a themed bar. The composition is strongly frontal and symmetrical, so it hangs and reads well from a distance while rewarding a closer look at the fret border. Cut notes • Use a stable hardwood or dense MDF blank; the emblem and fretwork want fine detail so avoid stringy grain. • Rough with a ball-nose, then switch to a fine tapered bit for the recessed spirals and the crisp facial features. • The deep border channels benefit from a v-bit clean-up pass to sharpen the meander corners. • Finish antiqued: dark wash into the recesses, then dry-brush or gild the raised face and medallion so it stands proud of the shadowed background. A striking single-panel carve that lends an air of carved-stone antiquity to any wall.
