Description

A tradesman rendered in confident relief: a welder in a flip-front helmet, sleeves rolled, arms folded across a heavy apron with one hand still gripping the MIG torch. Behind him a toothed cog arcs like a halo, and beneath his crossed arms a broad blank banner waits — riveted at the corners and left smooth on purpose, so you can carve a name, a workshop, or a date into it. Everything about it says garage, forge, and fabrication shop. It is built to be a personalised sign: a gift for the welder in the family, a door plate for a home workshop, or a wall piece for a fabrication business. Print / cut notes: • Deep 2.5D relief — rough with a straight bit, then chase the folds of the apron and the helmet edge with a tapered ball-nose. • Leave the banner untouched on the first cut, then V-carve lettering into it as a second operation so the text sits crisp and centred. • Beech, oak, or a dense hardwood holds the fine cog teeth; on FDM, print face-up as a flat-back plaque. • A dark glaze wiped into the recesses and sanded off the raised figure gives it an instant cast-bronze look.
