Nude Figure in Flowing Drapery Relief

A figure caught mid-emergence, stepping out of a river of flowing cloth. This rectangular relief depicts a nude male figure in three-quarter turn, rising from a swirl of drapery that streams around and behind him like smoke or water. The anatomy is carefully modelled — defined chest and torso, a raised arm gathering the fabric, the other hanging loose — and the surrounding folds ripple in long soft ridges that frame the body and lead the eye downward to where the figure dissolves back into the flowing material. It has the feel of an Art Nouveau or classical panel, sensual and sculptural rather than graphic. Designed as fine-art wall decor for a studio, hallway, or gallery wall, it rewards a single raking light source that throws the folds into deep shadow. Finished in warm wood it reads as heritage carving; in pale plaster or resin it feels like museum stone. Scales well as a tall single panel or a smaller framed relief.
