Pipe-Smoking Garden Gnome

A whiskered old gnome caught mid-puff. Never mind the workshop-style filename — this model is a classic garden gnome, sculpted as a full standing figure. He wears a long pointed hood that flops forward over his brow, a buttoned tunic gathered at the waist by a broad belt with a square buckle, and softly rolled boots. A thick, wavy beard fans down across his chest, and one hand is lifted to his mouth cradling a stubby little pipe, as though he has just paused for a quiet smoke by the flowerbed. The face is gently cartoonish, with a bulbous nose and a contented, faraway expression. He makes a charming ornament for a windowsill, a shelf of the fantasy folk, or a genuine painted garden gnome for a plant pot or rockery. Collectors of cottage-core and folklore figures will feel right at home with him. Print notes • Resin at 0.03–0.05mm gives the crispest beard strands and belt buckle; FDM works fine at 0.12mm for a larger garden-scale copy. • Print upright; add light supports under the raised forearm, the pipe and the hood's overhang, then clean the contact points on the beard carefully. • For outdoor use, scale up and print in ASA or PETG, or seal a PLA print with exterior varnish. • The broad, rounded forms take a hand-painted or drybrushed finish extremely well.
