Roaring Horned Viking Bust

A Viking bellows a war cry from beneath a horned helm. This bust catches a Norse warrior mid-roar: mouth wide open, brow furrowed into deep creases, and a colossal beard breaking into wind-blown locks that spill down over the chest. On his head sits a riveted, domed helmet with two curved horns and a studded browband. Every strand of beard and moustache is carved as a separate flowing rope of hair, giving the whole piece a wild, storm-tossed energy — this is theatrical, high-drama sculpting, not a quiet portrait. It makes a bold display bust for a mantel, games room, tabletop-gaming shelf or man-cave, and works equally as a fantasy collectible or a Norse-themed statement piece. Printed large it's a real centrepiece; scaled down it suits a shelf or a painted resin figure. Print notes • For the finest hair detail print in resin; on FDM use 0.08–0.12 mm layers and a 0.4 mm or finer nozzle. • The horns, open mouth and overhanging beard need supports — tree supports under the beard and helmet keep witness marks off the face. • Orient with the face angled slightly back so the deepest overhangs support cleanly. • Primer, a brown wash and dry-brushed highlights will make the carved hair and helmet rivets pop. Sand or wash off any support scars along the beard before painting.
