Description

A tall, narrow ancestor face crowned by a smooth domed helmet — quiet, stylised and a little otherworldly. This mask is strongly vertical: a rounded, split cap rises over a long slender face with a high flat brow, deep-set slit eyes, a straight ridged nose and a small carved mouth on a jutting chin. The forms are pared right back to planes and gentle curves, giving it that carved-hardwood, low-poly tribal look reminiscent of West African and Pacific-island ceremonial pieces. There is no clutter — just the calm geometry of the face and the clean seam running up the crown. It is meant as wall art: a striking, minimalist piece for a hallway, studio or gallery wall, and an easy statement print for anyone who likes ethnographic or brutalist-leaning decor. Print notes • Print it face-up and flat on the back if the reverse is hollow or open; otherwise stand it upright and it will need only light supports under the chin and nose overhang. • The broad smooth cheeks show every layer line, so drop to 0.12mm and keep part cooling steady for an even finish. • Scale it up — this design carries well at 200mm+ where the planes read as bold shadow shapes on a wall. • After printing, a matte earth-brown or aged-bronze rattle-can finish, lightly dry-brushed, sells the carved-wood or cast-metal illusion. Add a keyhole slot or a pair of magnets to the back before slicing so it hangs flush and flat.
