Scroll-and-Shell Carved Frame Kit

Two pieces that tile into an entire carved frame: a scrolled corner and a crested rail. The render lays the kit out plainly. Along the top runs a horizontal border of paired C-scrolls and feathered acanthus that rises in the middle to a fluted shell fan set on a small plinth — a natural centrepiece for the head of a panel. To the left sits the matching corner: an L of scrolling leafwork capped with its own little shell, ready to turn ninety degrees. Repeat the straight section, mirror the corner, and you can wrap any rectangle — a door panel, headboard, sign board or cabinet front. The relief is shallow-to-medium, with rounded flowing forms and cleanly hollowed scroll eyes. CNC / print notes • Nest the corner and rail on one sheet; a 6 mm ball-nose roughing pass followed by a 2 to 3 mm finishing pass captures the scroll curls without fuzz. • Fine-grained hardwood or dense MDF machines cleanest — seal MDF before you finish it. • The border is built to repeat, so set your straight-run length to a whole number of scroll units and the pattern meets neatly under the crest. • Printing on filament? Lay each element flat, relief up, no supports, and glue the sections edge to edge. Wax, gild or paint to give plain furniture or a mirror an antique, hand-carved edge.
