Description

An elongated baroque cartouche wrapped around an open circular window — pure carved drama for a feature wall. The relief runs tall and slim, crowned at top and bottom by fanned shell palmettes and framed along its length by deep, curling acanthus leaves that scroll inward like breaking waves. Behind them sits a crisp diagonal trellis field, its diamond lattice giving the flat centre texture and catching the light. At the heart is a plain raised ring — a ready-made surround for a round mirror, a clock face, or a recessed disc of contrasting timber. This is a machinist's model, supplied as a single STL for 3-axis CNC carving rather than FDM printing. It suits a mirror maker, a furniture restorer building a headboard or overmantel motif, or anyone dressing a hallway panel with something that reads hand-carved. Print / carve notes: • Best cut in a tight, even hardwood — lime, maple or tulipwood hold the fine acanthus tips without tearing. • Rough with a large ball-nose, then finish the scrollwork and lattice with a 2–3mm tapered ball for clean valleys. • The lattice diamonds are shallow; set your finish stepover fine (8–10%) so they don't ghost. • Sand the raised ring true if you intend to seat glass or a printed insert inside it. • Scales cleanly from a 250mm accent piece up to a full door-height panel; keep the shell crests proud when you resize so they stay the focal points.
