Description

Draped swags, tied bows, and a monogram at the centre. This long, slim frieze panel is framed by a plain raised border and filled with a neoclassical drapery motif. From a bow at each end, a length of gathered, pleated fabric swags gracefully downward and inward, its cut ribbon-tails curling loose. Where the two swags meet in the middle sits a small circular laurel-and-bead wreath enclosing a script capital 'D'. It is symmetrical, refined and distinctly Georgian / Adam-style. It is ideal as an over-door or over-mantel frieze, a drawer or apron rail on furniture, a headboard crest, or a personalised nameplate — and the central initial can be re-modelled to any letter for a bespoke gift. Cut notes • It's long and narrow, so clamp or tape the blank down its full length to stop chatter on the finishing pass. • The curling ribbon-tails are fine and near free-standing at the edges — leave tabs and cut them last. • Swap the 'D' for your own initial in CAD before toolpathing; carve the wreath and letter with a small ball-nose for clean beads. • The pleated swags look best with crisp ridges, so run a light finishing pass and only hand-sand the flat ground, not the folds.
