Description

A spray of baroque scrollwork frozen mid-curl. Mirror-image acanthus fronds roll outward from a heart-shaped scroll at the centre, each stem breaking into tight spiral volutes and feathery leaf tips — an ornate crest with all the movement of a hand-chased carving. The relief is symmetrical left to right, which makes it a natural crown or cresting piece rather than a self-contained medallion. Set it above a cabinet, run it along a door panel, perch it at the top of a headboard, or use it as the crest of a mirror; it also stands alone as a wall applique in a period interior. CNC / print notes • A V-bit clears the fine channels between the scrolls while a ball-nose rounds the leaf surfaces — plan both passes. • Hardwood or dense MDF both carve well; the design has only shallow undercuts, so a 3-axis machine handles it. • For 3D printing, lay it face-up as an onlay, support the tallest scroll tips, and finish smooth for paint or a gilt wax. Scale to your panel width first.
