Description

A rhythmic chain of linked capsules that turns a plain edge into a run of carved jewellery. This file is a continuous decorative moulding strip built from a repeating motif: rounded oval pods, each hollowed with a soft dished centre, joined side to side by little bow-tie connectors and punctuated with raised dot bosses. The pattern reads almost like a stylised bracelet or a stretch of forged metalwork, and because the repeat tiles cleanly left-to-right it can be lengthened or trimmed to fit whatever span you need. It is designed for CNC routers as a length of border trim: think the frieze under a mantel shelf, the apron rail of a sideboard, a run above a door head, or an inlaid band let into a cabinet face. The uniform depth and generous rounded pockets mean it carves predictably and sands to a clean satin surface. Print / cut notes • Cut in a straight-grained hardwood (oak, maple, walnut) so the raised bosses hold crisp edges. • A tapered ball-nose bit gives the smooth scooped hollows; follow with a fine finishing pass to remove step lines. • Mind the repeat seam — position joins at a connector so the pattern flows unbroken across boards. • Great as a resin print too if you want a master to cast multiples in polyurethane for applied trim. Stain or gild the raised elements and leave the recesses darker for a struck-through, antiqued look that suits traditional and craftsman interiors alike.
