Description

A twisting spiral of carved flutes frozen mid-turn. Ignore the "Celtic" label — what this model actually is a swirled three-dimensional rosette or corbel: broad ribbon-like flutes sweep out from a central vortex and curl downward in a spiral, giving a soft, almost molten look, like whipped cream caught the instant it stops rotating. The lower portion pinches into a small twisted base, suggesting it seats onto a post, a table leg, or a bracket. This is a proper sculptural form rather than a flat panel, so it earns its keep as a furniture ornament, a stair newel cap, a table-leg terminal, or a standalone decorative knob for a maker who wants something with real depth and movement. Print notes: • Because it carries genuine undercuts, a resin printer or a 4-axis / rotary CNC captures the coiling flutes best. • On a 3-axis router you'll need to machine from two sides or accept softened, less-defined undercuts. • FDM: stand it upright on the small base with tree supports tucked under the curling flute tips, then sand lightly so the layer lines melt into the smooth sweeps.
