Blank Shield Acanthus Crest Plaque

This vertical cartouche pairs a smooth, softly domed escutcheon, rounded at the shoulders and tapering to a gentle point, with an ornate acanthus palmette crest sprouting from its top. The shield field is left deliberately plain and gently convex, a ready canvas for a monogram, house name, date, crest or coat of arms. Above it, the carving erupts into life: a fan of acanthus leaves and rolled C-scrolls flowering upward, with a small pierced gap between the crest and the shield that lightens the composition.
