Description

A long, gently scalloped moulding with a recessed centre channel and softly scrolled ends. This is a horizontal decorative rail rather than any inlay pattern. It runs as a symmetrical strip whose top and bottom edges rise and fall in shallow, wavy swells before flaring into softly shaped, scrolled tips at each end. Along its length sits a raised bordered panel with a recessed central groove, and small paired comma-scrolls meet at the middle of the top and bottom edges as a subtle focal point. It is a calm, elegant profile that suits traditional or transitional joinery. Use it as a cabinet or wardrobe crest, a drawer or apron rail, a header for a mirror or picture frame, or a valance or pelmet moulding above a window or bed. Cut it to length and it drops straight into a furniture project. Print notes: • This is a one-sided relief moulding — ideal to run as a CNC profile along the board, finishing the channel and scrolls with a fine ball-nose pass. • For 3D printing, lay it flat on its back so the decorated face is up and prints without supports. • It is mirror-symmetric end to end, so it scales cleanly to any width — stretch the plain centre, not the shaped ends. • Sand the raised border, then paint, stain or gild; a dark glaze in the recessed channel adds depth.
