Description
All the drama lives in the legs on this one. Where a plain table hides its structure, this console throws it forward: two sweeping cabriole legs uncoil from a tight C-scroll at the top, flare through a long concave sweep, and land on delicate scrolled toes. A stepped, carved boss sits at the centre of the apron like a keystone, and the overhanging top is kept deliberately plain so the eye stays on the carving below. Because only the front legs are elaborated here, it reads as a wall-hugging console or hall table — the kind that carries a lamp and a mirror above it. Use it for period room boxes, film-set miniatures, or as a carving pattern when you want a leg profile with real movement. Print notes • The C-scrolls at the leg tops are the fragile bit; print the legs flat on the bed with the scroll facing up, then add manual supports only inside the tightest curl. • For CNC work, each leg is essentially a two-sided carve — flip the blank to reach the back of the scroll rather than forcing a deep single-side plunge. • Resin captures the fine scroll ridges best; if you FDM it, a 0.2 mm layer height and slow outer-wall speed keep the curves from stepping.
