Cascading Daisy Drop Appliqué

A cascading floral drop that pours down the panel like a spray tucked behind a ribbon. Two full daisy-style blooms anchor the design, one broad and open near the top, a second slightly furled below, each with a beaded centre ringed by rounded petals. Between and around them, long teardrop acanthus leaves and comma-shaped scrolls billow and fold, and the whole arrangement tapers to a single elegant volute curl at the very bottom. It is tall and narrow, clearly meant to run vertically. This kind of drop appliqué is made for the flanks of things: the stiles of a cabinet or wardrobe door, either side of a mirror or fireplace, down the legs of a console, or as a mirrored pair descending a headboard. Its slim, flowing footprint fills awkward vertical gaps that a symmetrical crest never quite suits. Carving and print notes • A natural fit for CNC relief; the deeply layered petals and rolled leaves want a fine tapered ball-nose and a slow finishing pass, especially around the flower centres. • Watch the overlaps where petals sit over leaves, they create near-vertical walls that soften on a 3-axis cut; a 4th axis or a little hand touch-up sharpens them. • For FDM or resin printing, lay the flat back to the bed and support only the most undercut petal edges. • Because it is directional, remember to mirror the model if you need a matching left-and-right pair.
