Description

A tall panel frame with a dripping Baroque crest at top and a matching flourish below. Think of this as a decorative surround for a vertical panel. At the head sits an elaborate acanthus cartouche — a central palmette flanked by outward-scrolling leaves — from which a long pendant of foliage cascades down the centre, tapering through beaded husks to a fine finial point. Two slender plain rails run down the sides, and a second, more compact acanthus cartouche anchors the bottom, closing the frame. The relief is rounded and confident, the kind of Rococo scrollwork used on wardrobe doors, bed headboards and formal wall panelling. It is built for panel work: apply the crest and base to a recessed door or wainscot, run the plain rails as borders, and you get an instant framed cartouche without carving by hand. Finish in gilt, ivory paint, or clear-sealed hardwood. Print / cut notes • Treat it as multi-part — crest, pendant drop, side rails and base each glue on separately, so you can stretch the rails to fit your panel height. • CNC in 3-axis relief: rough with an end mill, detail the deep leaf hollows with a fine ball-nose; the pendant tip is fragile, so climb-cut it last. • 3D print each ornament face-down flat for a support-free back and clean foliage. • Resin or a 0.12mm FDM layer keeps the beaded drop and leaf veins sharp for gilding.
