Description

A slender French-styled console with all the swagger of a period hall table. The model captures a full four-legged console: gently bowed cabriole legs that sweep out at the knee and curl back to scrolled feet, a scalloped skirt that dips into a soft arch at centre, and a shaped top with a moulded lip. The showpiece is the apron — a fluted, ribbed drop panel framed by carved shoulders that gives the whole piece its Louis XV character. This is a model for makers building real furniture at scale rather than a shelf ornament. Cabinetmakers and CNC hobbyists can use it as reference geometry for a hall table, dressing table or narrow entryway console, milling the legs and apron from hardwood before assembly. It also prints beautifully as a scale miniature for dolls' houses and diorama room-sets. Print & cut notes • For CNC, split into components — legs, aprons and top — and machine each from suitably thick stock; the cabriole legs need multi-axis or careful two-side flipping. • Printing as a miniature: orient legs vertically and add supports under the knee curves and skirt arch. • The fluted centre panel benefits from a fine finishing pass or light sanding to sharpen the ribs. • Scale the whole file to your target height before slicing so leg thickness stays realistic.
