Rose Cluster Swag Header

A long, low header dressed with a posy of roses and a lazy leafy swag. This is a wide, shallow-relief strip meant to run horizontally. Dead centre sits a tight cluster of open roses and small five-petal blossoms, their layered petals and button centres carved in gentle relief. From that bouquet, slender leaf scrolls flow outward in both directions, sweeping down and then rising again toward the ends, where they finish in curled acanthus sprigs — the lower edge of the whole band dipping in a soft, valance-like swag. It is the kind of ornament that crowns a run of cabinet doors, tops a mirror or headboard, or dresses the apron beneath a shelf. Everything sits on a flat rectangular ground with a flat back for mounting. Print notes: • Keep it flat-side-down; the relief is shallow enough to print or carve without supports. • It is a long part — check it fits your bed length or router travel before cutting; splitting at the centre is easy if not. • On CNC, a ballnose finishing pass smooths the rounded rose petals; leave the flat background untouched to save time. • Sand the raised florals, then wipe a walnut glaze into the recesses to make the bouquet pop.
